If you own a Nokia Asha device or a device that runs on Symbian S40 (such as Nokia C3), then you should know that the developers of WhatsApp have released a new version of this awesome application for your device.
The new WhatsApp 2.13.23 for Symbian S40 devices comes with usual bug fixes and performance improvements, which means that the application will run smoother than before.
The WhatsApp 2.13.23 for Nokia Asha and Symbian S40 devices comes with some changes to the jar (installation) file, the file has been increased by only 3KB, but the developers have modified 976 files out of the total of 2029. At the same time, the thumbnails file has been deleted and two new files have been added (bhg.class and bhh.class).
Unfortunately, there is still no news regarding the WhatsApp Voice Calling feature and if the developers are planning to release it for Symbian S40 devices. However, we will let you know if we find anything about this.
WhatsApp 2.13.23: How To Install On Your Nokia Asha Device
First of all, you will need to uninstall the current WhatsApp application from your Nokia Asha device, after that, you will have to download the WhatsApp 2.13.23 jar file from whatsapp.con/s40. Finally, you will need to head to the location where you’ve saved the jar file and select it to start the installation process of the latest WhatsApp version for your Nokia Asha device.
However, keep in mind that the WhatsApp 2.13.23 is currently in BETA, which means that you might also find some new bugs or issues that will be solved by the developers before they release a new stable version of this application.
