Two Models PlayStation 5 Might Be Released

Sony is refusing to reveal any information about its upcoming console, but rumors continue to appear and the fans are speculating its features. The PS 5 might arrive in two models, according to Value Walk, and one of them will have a disk drive and will support 4K Ultra Blu-Ray content, which will improve the gaming experience by providing the best graphics. The second model will have SSD storage and will focus on digital titles.
The gaming market is evolving from one year to another and Sony is keeping pace with the future. If the rumored features will prove to be right, then the PlayStation 5 won’t be released too soon, because Sony will replace the current console in maximum seven years, as this was the time interval between the PS 3 and PS 4. Lisa Su, CEO of American semiconductor company AMD has attended the CES 2016 event, where she said that “The consoles work on a five to seven-year strategy, that’s the lifetime for these consoles” and “Without talking about any particular party’s console; there will be opportunities to cost-reduce”.
Lisa Su has also explained how the price of the new generation models is determined by the seven-year console lifespan: “Consoles tend to be very sensitive to price point, we see that as the price comes down console [sales] volume goes up, and that will afford an opportunity to do that in this cycle”.
As for the features of the upcoming PS 5, analysts believe that the console will be compact and portable, in order to stack up against smartphones; it will offer SSD storage instead of HDD, which will help the console run faster and to be quieter; it will run on an open-source OS, which will open door to more developers who will create lots of applications and games for the PS 5; integration with Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms; 4K or even 8K games and retro games in high def / 4K; wireless charging; PlayStation VR technology included into the PS 5; disc-based gaming; an improved PlayStation Store which will be more intuitive and easier to navigate etc.
