Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ and HTC One M8 Gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update

It seems that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 models will be released in January 2016, a new leaked photo has revealed this news and we’re sure that many Galaxy S6 owners are now very happy to hear this.
The leaked document has the date 15 November 2015 and it shows that Samsung is currently testing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+. According to the document, the estimated time of arrival of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow on these three devices is January 2016. With other words, if the developers don’t encounter any issues, the Android M OTA update for these three devices will finally be released in the first month of 2016.
HTC One M8 GPE Has Received Android 6.0 Marshmallow Sooner Than Expected
According to a tweet that Mo Versi, the HTC vice president, has written on his twitter account, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update is already available for the HTC One M8 Google Play Edition. Unfortunately, the OTA update is released in phases and this means that there are still HTC One M8 GPE devices that are still running on the latest Android Lollipop update.
We’re sure that many have thought that this device will be prioritized to receive the Android M OTA update, because it is the Google Play Edition, but actually, this update came earlier than expected.
In the next weeks we will see more and more devices being prepared to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update, because the manufacturers have already started testing this OS on many devices.
It is good to know that many devices that currently run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS will be updated to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow sometime in Q1-Q2 2016.
