Moto X Style and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Is Receiving The Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

The Moto X Style, which reached the Indian market in October, is being updated to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and this doesn’t come as a big surprise, because Motorola senior director David Schuster has already made the announcement two weeks ago on its Google Plus account. Another recently launched flagship which will receive the new Android version is Samsung’s Note 5, but the owners must wait until next year.
Alongside the Moto X Style, the Moto X 2014 devices from Brazil will be upgraded to 6.0 Marshmallow, the latest version of Android which brings many new features and improvements. The users will be able to control their app permissions, and the applications will no longer automatically access parts of your device, such as the camera or GPS when you’re using them. Also, the microSD cards will be used as an extension of the internal memory, meaning that the users will be able to install applications and games on them; the users will have a better battery management and will properly manage applications, while the Doze feature will improve your battery life by automatically putting the device into sleep mode when it’s not used. This way, the feature will shut down all applications and processes running in the background and will ended the battery life. There are many other new features, but you’ll find all details on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow changelog for the Motorola flagship.
The Galaxy Note 5 phablet which was launched in August with Android v5.1.1 (Lollipop) will receive the new OS in the first quarter of 2016, along with the Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge and Tab S2 tablet. Unfortunately, according to a leaked information, Samsung hasn’t included the Note 3 and Galaxy S4 on the list of devices which will be updated to Marshmallow, but there’s a custom ROM firmware based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which they can install, but the users will need to root their phones.
As a bonus, we’ll tell you that the Galaxy A7 has been spotted in the AnTuTu database carrying an Exynos 7580 SoC, but most likely, the flagship will come with two variants of configurations. Also, the Galaxy A9 will make its appearance in the near future, which will look similar to the previous model.
